BYU –17 1/2 Wyoming (8:00 - ESPN) Cowboys D is a joke giving up over 33 pts in 7 of last 8. BYU in off shocker, losing to SDSt. In the last sec., but run D is solid and Peterson threw for 376 last wk. BYU 45 to 10 over Wyoming.

Maryland –11 1/2 over DUKE (12:00) Terps an up and coming team, but have lost 3 of last 4 and rank 87th in rushing. Blue Devils dead last in total “D” and next to last in total “O”, but covered against Clem and Virginia. Maryland 35 - 20 over Duke.
Toledo –18 over NAVY (12:00) Toledo had the week off after murdering Marshal by 42 and have allowed 0 pts. in 2 of last 3. Navy outmanned at every pos. and have yet to win this yr. Rank dead last in just about every “O” cat. Toledo 45 - 10 over NAVY.
BOSTON COLLEGE –22 OVER Rutgers (12:00) BC gave up almost 600 yds to Pitt (Hasselback 3 INTs) and were totally embarrassed. Now take it out on lowly Knights who have given up almost 50ppg in last 5 RGs. We’re always looking for mismatches and this is a big one. BOSTON COLLEGE 57 - 7 OVER Rutgers.
Arkansas +9 1/2 over AUBURN (12:30) Everything in the world points to Auburn in this one, but it won’t happen. Tuberville has it in for the Hogs every year, but this one will go to the wire. Auburn will try to run it all the time, which plays into the line and a low scoring game. AUBURN 17 - 14 over Arkansas.
Florida -8 1/2 over Georgia (3:30 - CBS @ Jacksonville) Gators in off solid covers (Grossman 5 TD passes against Auburn) and Kentucky gave the Dawgs all they could handle (over 600 yds by the Cats). Georgia can’t run the ball which kills the passing game as well. Florida 35 - 14 over Georgia.
MISSISSIPPI ST. -27 over Middle TN St. (3:30) Bulldogs had the #1 rush def. in country before LSU put 220 yds on ’em. Blue Raiders don’t have good running game which means big trouble against angry Dawg defense. Mid TN St. was no match for UAB, so what will they do against State? We could easily see a shutout here. MISSISSIPPI ST. 48 - 0 over Middle TN St.
VIRGINIA TECH -16 1/2 over Pittsburgh (3:30 - CBS) Hokies had a real scare at Syracuse and have Miami up next, so focus may be a problem. Pittsburgh run “D” 4th nationally and Turman threw 5TDs against Boston College. This is either a blowout if Tech’s Special Teams steamroll Pitt or a really tight one if they don’t- could go either way, so we’ll avoid this one. I’m betting on a tight one. Virginia Tech 35 - 24 over Pittsburgh.
Washington -7 over STANFORD (5:00) No one dominating the Pac 10, so close ones are the order of the day. Stanford beat USC on the final pass of the game and Huskies in off great 4th qtr comeback of their own. Have to take the points in this one so Washington 35 - 30 over Stanford.
