Join Us On A Great Golf Trip To Dancing Rabbit!

April 30th, May 1st & 2nd.

A COUPLE OF QUICK NOTES BEFORE WE GET TO THE DETAILS-

I've had several people call about the trip with serious concerns about being able to play 36 holes two days in a row. I'm 61, and I've had the same concerns. I know it's tiring, and here's the way we address it on our trips- the afternoon round on both Friday and Saturday are scrambles. You'll play your own ball on the morning rounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The afternoon rounds are team scrambles which are a lot less demanding on each person both physically and mentally. We'll have one scramble round on the Oaks and one scramble round on the Azaleas. It's a lot less tiring and still a lot of fun!!! Now here are the rest of the details for the trip.

One of the things I enjoy most about the radio business is the opportunity to meet so many people who share some of the same interests I do, and when it comes to golf, we've made some long-lasting and wonderful friendships playing the game we all love.

Every year, we put together a golf trip to a fantastic course and we use the show to put together a great deal for those who make the trip. It's always 3 days of golf, usually at a course where there are other activities- gambling among our favorites- and we've never had anything short of a great time for all. We've been to Pinehurst #2, Dancing Rabbit, the Gulf Coast and several other locations. Last year, we went to Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia, Mississippi, April 25th, 26th, and 27th and as always, we had a great time! Now, we're going back again on April 30th, May 1st & 2nd. A little info on the courses: There are two courses at Dancing Rabbit- The Oaks and The Azaleas. As the story goes, when The Azaleas course was being built, Chief Philip Martin sent someone to Augusta National to literally count the azalea bushes at Augusta and they then planted more azaleas at Dancing Rabbit than they had at Augusta!

To give you an idea of what kind of shape the courses are in at Dancing Rabbit, they edge the cart paths on the courses like you edge your driveway at home when you cut the grass! Every hole is like a picture postcard.

Here's the deal: We'll take 17 golfers on the trip. I'll bring a special guest, and we'll have five foursomes. Everyone will arrive at the resort on Thursday night, April 24th. Tony and I will actually be there early on Wednesday because we'll do the radio show from the Clubhouse at Dancing Rabbit Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

You'll play 36 holes Friday, 36 holes Saturday and 18 holes Sunday. We'll alternate courses each day, playing the Azaleas three times and the Oaks twice. As we do on all the trips, I will set up 5 four man teams based on handicaps you will provide (no lying) and I'll put together the pairings each day so that everyone plays with as many different players as possible. We'll play a variety of crazy bets that I put together, mostly $2 and $5 bets, and I promise you'll have a great time.

When we're not playing golf, we'll be in the Casinos in the Silver Star or the Golden Moon. Here's what you get on the trip:

Your total cost for the trip is $650.00 (plus of course whatever you want to bring to play in the casinos and a little gambling money for the course. By the way, I think the biggest winner we've had on the course was about $250 and the biggest loser was about $200 so as you can see, the games on the course don't get out of hand.

17 spots won't last long for a trip this great, so my advice is to contact me as soon as possible to reserve your spot. If you want to get three or four friends together to go, that's great, but remember, other guys are thinking the same way so don't wait too long.

In the past, we've had some of the guys want to bring wives or girlfriends and we have no objection to that. You will have to pay for their room and food, but I will negotiate the best rates possible for you.

If you have any questions about the trip or if you need additional information, please feel free to give me a call at 901-461-4600 anytime or email me at rainman@therainman.com.  This is on a first come, first served basis so don't miss out on the best golf trip you can imagine.
